Super Samurai Blu-ray Set!

LIONSGATE has generously sent me the Power Rangers Super Samurai Complete Season on Blu-ray as a holiday gift. (Thanks guys!)

TECHNICAL INFO

The Super Samurai episodes are presented in beautiful 1080P High Definition 16X9 Widescreen format. The English audio track is 5.1-surround sound, and also available are Spanish and French audio tracks, which are in 2.0 Dolby Digital Audio (stereo). Subtitles are available in English for the hearing impaired.

The discs are REGION A. This includes most North, Central, and South American and South East Asian countries. Plus Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea.

ASSORTED BRUNO THOUGHTS

I just got my set today, but I’ve already watched a few episodes, including the finale episode, “Samurai Forever.” I know this hasn’t been a favorite season among older fans, but the final episodes were really great, fan of Samurai or not. Both Samurai and Super Samurai were filmed beautifully, and it’s often difficult to tell the difference between the new footage, and the Sentai footage. The Saban exclusive Mega Mode suits and redesigned cockpits were also very cool.

The episodes look great on Blu-ray, and I like that that the credits don’t overlay the end of the episodes. They play after each episode with the instrumental Samurai theme music.

So far I’ve only seen this set available on Amazon for $26.86:
